What this site is
An independent information service. We aren’t a government agency, filing office or law firm. Information here is general and isn’t legal, tax or financial advice.
Search results
Results come from state registries or their official data at the time shown, and may be incomplete, delayed or wrong if the source is. A result saying no matching records were found doesn’t mean a state will accept a name, and no result here reserves or registers a name. Confirm with the official state source before relying on a result, and check trademarks separately.
Acceptable use
Use the search for your own research. Don’t use automated tools to send searches through this site, resell results, or try to get around our rate limits. We limit how often each state source is queried to respect those systems, and may block traffic that ignores that.

Links to formation services and other sites are provided for convenience. Their products, prices and terms are their own. Some links may be affiliate links; see the disclosure.
No warranty
The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for decisions made based on it.
